During the last eight or so weeks, we've had a few fire drills. The bell rings, the students run and people take pictures while we rush to get dressed first. After getting dressed, you get your fire fighting equipment and jump on a vehicle, we race to an open field where we to an actual role play and afterwards we debrief on the happenings and what went wrong. On one certain day, the bell rang!
We ran!

| That's me on the right. |

| See if you can spot me. |

| I look a little lazy or a little stupid. |

Can you see me now?
This is all fun and games when practicing but on one day, the bell rang and we ran once again but when we got there, we were told not to get dressed. Confused, we waited for orders. Seeing one of the managers speed towards us, we knew for sure that there was an actual fire. We stood back and watched, excited,as the people got dressed and went out to the fire. The adrenaline faded and the disappointment set in for some of us but I was secretly happy because just the running from the class to the store room had me gasping for breath. Our job ended up being to pack the clothes back into the fire equipment room. Excitement enough for me thank you. |
