The day we swam

This day was probably one of the most fun and outrageous days of my weeks here on Sondela.  We were sent to remove the plants that were taking over our dams. We were given rakes, pangas, 'sekels' and other little equipment.  Only a few pairs of gumboots were provided and we were nine students... Soon the fact that some had gumboots on and others didn't, wasn't a problem anymore because everybody was knee deep in muddy water so the gumboots only trapped the water to your feet.  Soon we left the equipment and started using our hands, by the end of the day, we were wet and dirty but we were smiling.
